Every breakthrough therapy starts as an idea in a lab. In British Columbia, more of those ideas are becoming companies, treatments and technologies used around the world. BC is home to some of Canada’s largest and fastest-growing biotech companies, with standout strengths in antibody discovery, gene and cell therapies, mRNA delivery and genomics. They’re attracting global investment and world-class talent.

Join Vancouver Tech Journal for an evening with the founders, scientists and investors leading this work. Our panel will go inside the journey from discovery to impact: how early research becomes a viable company, what it takes to raise capital and run clinical trials, and how BC teams compete on the global stage. We’ll also look at the challenges the sector faces, from scaling up and keeping talent local to securing later-stage funding, and what’s next for the province’s biotech ecosystem.

This event is for biotech founders and researchers, investors, healthcare professionals, students, and anyone curious about the science shaping the future of medicine.
