What is Future Day?
Future Day is a full-day event at KTH bringing together students, founders, investors, and startup hubs for a day centered on innovation and entrepreneurship.
The program of panel discussions throughout the day will cover the full startup journey, from validating an idea and getting your first customers, to raising a funding round, scaling a team, and the lessons that only come from having done it yourself. The speakers include founders at various stages, venture capitalists, representatives from leading incubators, and KTH alumni who have built companies you've heard of. Every session is roughly 40 minutes, so you can drop in on the ones most relevant to you.
Program and Speakers
11:00–12:00 · Zero to One & The War Chest
SSE Business Lab and KTH Innovation open the day with two connected themes: Zero to One: Kickstarting Your Innovation Journey, and The War Chest: Navigating the Funding Landscape. A grounding session for anyone at the start of the journey or thinking about how to finance what comes next.
13:00–14:00 · Inside an Incubator: The Founders House Perspective
The team from Founders House shares their experience running an incubator hub: how they evaluate startups, what they look for in founders, and the patterns they've seen in the companies they've helped succeed.
14:00–15:00 · Founder Stories: Building Real Companies
Three founders share what they're building and what they've learned along the way:
Pango. A team of serial entrepreneurs, scientists, and principal engineers building the only software needed to manage e-commerce logistics, working with global brands to put deliveries and returns on autopilot.
Shace. Making it easy to compare offices, coworking spaces, and premises with transparent pricing so you can find your next space.
Crewcial. Helping tech companies attract the right talent and clients, and helping professionals find their community in the industry.
15.00-16.00 Building a Product: From finance giant to to Founding a Startup
How do you go from an idea to building a real product and a company around it? In this fireside chat, a Synron co-founder shares his journey from SEBx to launching a startup. Alongside his co-founder, they’ll share practical insights on product development and lessons from building a startup.
