The Frontier of Haptics in Virtual Reality: Training, Simulation, Design and Tele-Robotics

The easiest way to enter the venue is to go into the parking garage and take the elevator by the valet booth to the 2nd floor. Ask for "Premier". The front desk will direct you to the correct room.

​HaptX is thrilled at the response to our event - the number of RSVPs is almost overwhelming!

​Keeping in mind that we know not everyone who has RSVP'd will actually attend, we still want to make sure that those who do take time out of their day have a great experience and crucially, aren't waiting around an inordinate amount of time to get a chance to demo our gloves. 

​We only have one HaptX system and each demo takes approximately 7 minutes. To that end, we're breaking up the event into 2 halves, and providing a digital sign-up sheet to book specific time slots for the demo, so everyone can manage their time.

Demo time-slots will be first-come-first-serve; the earlier you sign in, the more options you'll have.

• ​3:30 PM: Refreshment Break / 2nd Presentation and Q&A

• ​4:00 PM: More Demos

• ​6:00 PM: End

​Although HaptX will validate your parking as a courtesy if you're driving in - We recommend using Uber or Lyft to get to the event venue.

Cross streets are Ocean Ave and Colorado Ave.

​UPDATE: It is very likely we will reach or exceed capacity for this event. We'll try to accommodate everyone who wants a demo, but we may run out of time. Order of preference will be given to guests based on arrival/sign-in time and relevance (i.e. if a guest has a professional use case for haptic interfaces).

Join HaptX to learn about how Haptics and force feedback is transforming interaction with virtual worlds, and how utilizing a realistic interface for XR can help enable novel applications for mission-critical training programs, simulators, virtual prototyping and remote operation of robots.

In particular, applications for healthcare, industrial training, automotive and aerospace will be covered.

We'd especially like people who are working within organizations to encourage the adoption of immersive computing to attend.
