​join us on friday, october 30th at enari for an exclusive preview of lindsay merrill’s solo exhibition daughter. we will speak with paul van gemen, the gallery’s owner, and lindsay merrill herself about what inspired her latest body of work.

​about the artist:

​lindsay merrill (b. 1987, united states of america) is a west-virginia based artist whose work considers american landscapes as a site of beauty and brutality. through the expression of taxidermied deer, domestic interiors, and contemporary rural appalachia, she brings questions of violence, mortality, and human indifference into intimate proximity. merrill graduated with a bachelor in fine arts at the university of pittsburgh and obtained a master in social work degree at the university of denver in 2016.

​about the gallery:

​enari is an emerging gallery located in amsterdam oud-west. founded by paul van gemen and christina voulgari, the gallery opened in mid-november 2022 with the aim of connecting the dutch cultural scene with the global art community through exhibitions featuring artists from around the world.

​there will be time to chat and hang with fellow culture sniffers afterwards :)
