December Crafty Queers Club-ARTIST TRADING CARDS
CRAFTY QUEERS DECEMBER- ARTIST TRADING CARDS
PAY WHAT YOU CAN- NO BARRIERS TO ART MAKING (See below). Tickets are 0-15. Put a 0 if you cannot afford a ticket!
Join artist Jessica Poppke in creating your own Artist Trading Cards are an almost completely open-ended art opportunity, with the only rule being a specific size: 2.5" x 3.5". Take some space for yourself this holiday season and create a collection of your own trading cards. The artist trading card is said to have been born in 1997 in Switzerland, when M. Vänçi Stirnemann of Zurich hosted the first swap at “INK. art & text”. Since then, this small art form has grown very large in popularity and many artists and crafters are embracing the concept.
Jessica is Ms Frizzle if she was a crafting hobby hopper. She is facinated by the lore of a craft and how it's been shaped by culture. She loves to share art my friends and family; like at Crafty Queers.
Pay what you can means exactly that! Accessing art should not be a barrier to anyone in our community!
Registration is required and we have two tiers of tickets, free and pay what you can with a suggested $0-$15 range.
