​大原崇嘉の個展「スクリーンの肉」のオープニングレセプションを開催します。

​展示紹介

​映像の高精細化とスマートフォンの普及によって、「奥行きへの視線」と「表面への触覚」という二つの見方が、私たちの日常的な映像体験のなかで同時に混ざり合うようになってきました。
本展はこの状況をメルロ＝ポンティの身体論を手がかりに考察し、映像を「見るもの」としてではなく、身体の動きや位置が関わりあう出来事として捉え直します。
モーターでディスプレイ自体を動かし、鑑賞者が周囲を歩いたり距離を変えたりしながら映像と関わることで、「見ること」の新たな輪郭を探ります。

​We will be holding the opening reception for Takayoshi Ohara's solo exhibition, "Screen Flesh."

​Exhibition Introduction

​With the increasing resolution of video and the widespread use of smartphones, two ways of seeing – "gaze into depth" and "tactile sense on the surface" – have come to simultaneously intermingle in our daily video experiences. This exhibition examines this situation using Merleau-Ponty's phenomenology of the body as a clue, reinterpreting video not as something "to be seen," but as an event involving the body's movement and position. To this end, the displays themselves are moved by motors, and viewers interact with the video by walking around and changing their distance, exploring a new outline of "seeing."
