10 Days • 5+ Farms • 10+ Workshops • 1,000 km • 1 Caravan • 1 Travel Show

Start: Oct 1 - Bangalore

End: Oct 11 - Goa

A 10-day field immersion into India's farms, ecovillages, food systems, and regenerative ways of living — built for the village-movement-curious heading to Edge City India.

Join Ashu (@thelostmonk) and Morello (@morellomunch) on an intimate road trip through 5 remarkable farms and communities across Southern India, starting in Bangalore and ending in Goa in time for Day 1 of Edge City India.

On this caravan:

  • On this caravan, you’ll travel through farms, ecovillages, indigenous communities and coastal villages that reveal a more authentic India — one shaped by land, food, water, rituals, community and old wisdom

    • You’ll share farm-to-table meals, meet people who have lived with these landscapes for generations, join hands-on workshops, surf, kayak, practice yoga, sit in circles, and travel with a small group of people who are also curious about regenerative living and future communities.

      • You’ll also become part of a travel story documenting India’s farms, villages and living communities on the road to Edge City.

Additional activities include:

  • Surfing

  • Yoga classes

  • Kayaking

  • Chocolate-making

  • Cacao ceremony

  • Local village immersions

  • Indigenous wisdom sessions

  • Please feel free to offer your own session to the group!!

If you're headed to Edge, this is where you meet your people before you arrive.

Who's Coming

We're building an intimate, high-agency, high-consciousness group — a deliberate mix of local Indians and international regenerative practitioners:

  • Eco-village and regenerative community builders, from India and abroad

  • Content creators

  • Investors scouting regenerative opportunities

  • Nerds

  • Adventure seekers

  • People looking to regenerate themselves

Tentative 10-Day Plan

Day 1 — Bangalore → Mysore
The caravan begins. Opening circle, introductions, and the drive to Mysore — no agenda beyond getting to know who you're traveling with.

Day 2 — Mysore
Body, yoga & inner culture. Morning yoga, Mysore's living relationship with modern yoga, evening kirtan.

Day 3 — Mysore → Coorg
Bean to cup. A coffee estate immersion — growing, harvesting, processing, tasting, and the real economics behind one cup.

Day 4 — Coorg
Regenerating land. A regenerative land collective, founders' conversation on land acquisition and collective ownership models, waterfall and forest time.

Days 5–7 — Varanashi Farm
The heart of the caravan. Organic farm tour, food forests and water systems, sunrise kayaking, soil biology, hands-on paddy farming, a bean-to-bar chocolate workshop, water harvesting, and permaculture design — closing with a reflection dinner on the farm.

Day 8 — Varanashi → Udupi (Coast)
Coastal India. A traditional fishing harbour, coastal livelihoods, mangrove ecosystems, and local coastal food.

Day 9 — Udupi → Gokarna
The sacred coast. Old town, temple culture, beach time, and our closing circle — the last night together as a full caravan.

Day 10 — Gokarna → Edge City, Goa
Final caravan and exploratory drive north, arrival at Edge City.

Itinerary is tentative and subject to change based on access, weather, and season.

Logistics

  • Arrive in Bangalore by October 1st. Departure 10am. We recommend arriving a day or two early. We will recommend a hotel close to the pick up point.

  • One bus for the entire route. Minimal logistics on your end.

  • All meals included (breakfast, lunch, dinner).

  • All accommodation included — we stay at the farms and community spaces themselves.

  • We end in Goa.

    • Edge City India participants land Day 1 for opening ceremony. Tickets purchased separately — use code ROAD-TO-EDGE-GOA for 25% off.

    • Not going to Edge? Arrange your own onward plans from Goa or lean into the serendipity of who you'll meet on this Caravan :)

Good to Know

  • Proceeds support local eco-villages and indigenous communities directly.

  • This is priced near cost — an incredible value to go deep into the heartbeat of this movement. Limited scholarships available, prioritizing local participation for cross-cultural immersion.

  • Content creation will be happening throughout. You can opt out (we will provide red wristbands), or be part of a lasting piece of filmmaking documenting this movement.

Meet the Hosts

Ashu"If you want to build communities for the future, you need to learn from communities that have thrived from the past to now." Founder of the Indian Eco Village Network, prolific content creator on Instagram and YouTube.

Morello"If you're into solarpunk and living off the land, Indians are some of the most resourceful people — seeing these long-standing communities in action is a must."

About the Indian Eco Village Network

Indian Ecovillage Network is a platform documenting and connecting India’s farms, Ecovillages, off-grid communities, alternative learning spaces and regenerative living experiments.

About Edge City India

Edge City India is a three-week popup village on the beaches of Mandrem, Goa, running October 11–November 1, 2026 — bringing together hundreds of founders, builders, researchers, scientists, and creatives to live, work, and build together for three weeks straight.

It's the Indian edition of a global series — nine popup villages run over three years, from California to Bhutan to Patagonia — and the first time this community lands in India, one of the world's largest builder ecosystems. Think deep coworking by day, talks and demos through the week, and a peer group operating at the highest level — this time set against Goa's coast and hosted with local partners in the region.

Caravan participants get 25% off Edge City India with code ROAD-TO-EDGE-GOA — price increases monthly, so early is cheaper. Edge City ticket-holders may also get a discount on the caravan (confirm exact %).

Refund Policy

Given the complexity of the caravan's logistics:

  • 100% refund if cancelled within 72 hours of application approval

  • 50% refund for cancellations up to September 20th

  • Free transfer (no fee) up until October 1st
