[Pre-DevFest] The "Touch Grass" Buildathon
We always joke about developers needing to go outside and touch grass. Well, we're finally making it mandatory.
Join us for a 2 hour sprint to build and ship an MVP - happening entirely outdoors in a park. We are stripping away the ergonomic office chairs, the perfect dual-monitor setups, and the air conditioning. It’s just you, your laptop battery, and whatever you can manage to build before brunch.
What to Expect
Nature, unfiltered: We are literally building in a park. You will need a fully charged laptop, a mobile hotspot, and probably some sunscreen. Trees do not have power outlets, and if your laptop is one of those that dies in exactly 8 minutes, create a remote coding setup at your house before you come.
Actually Shipping: No three-month roadmaps or feature creep allowed. You have a exactly 2 hours to build a working prototype and demo it to the group.
Zero Corporate Pressure: There are no enterprise sponsors breathing down your neck forcing you to use their specific cloud credits. Build what you want, however you want.
Bugs (both kinds): You'll be debugging your architecture while dealing with actual outdoor elements. It’s the ultimate test of developer focus.
Food afterwards is on us, but please carry water bottles, energy drinks, soft drinks / anything else you might need.
