About Event

What can computational social science tell us about voting, preferences and participation?

The EC² online webinar invites you to explore how computational social science can help us better understand democratic decision-making, voting behaviour and collective choices in complex societies.

During the event, EC² researchers will show how simulations, artificial agents and digital models can be used to study how people form preferences, how uncertainty influences decisions, and how different voting systems may shape collective outcomes.

The webinar will introduce the EC² project, its first-phase progress and the simulation platform developed to connect social science, modelling and democratic innovation. Speakers will also discuss opinion dynamics, institutional design, quantum voting and digital tools for visualising democratic processes.

This free online event is open to researchers, policymakers, civic tech experts, public authorities, civil society organisations and anyone interested in the future of democracy, digital governance and new ways of understanding collective decision-making.
