Why this matters
Too many Muslim university students feel lost. They study hard, but they're not sure why. They want to help the Ummah, but they're convinced they're not qualified.
Nobody has told them that building technology and telling meaningful stories is ibadah. Nobody has handed them a room, a team, and 24 hours to prove what they can do. This event does.
Who it's for
Muslim university students who are:
Studying hard, without really knowing why or where their degree leads
Wanting to help the Ummah, but unsure where to start
Hoping that, somehow, their degree will let them serve the Ummah one day
We debate, we discuss, we study. But almost nobody is building the tools the Ummah actually needs, and nobody is telling the stories that make people feel the problems we face. This event changes that.
Two tracks. Pick one when you register.
🛠 Build Track
Build a working digital solution to a real Ummah problem: a mobile app, a website, a chatbot, an AI tool, an automation. Anything that works.
It has to actually work. No fake demos, no slides, no theory. Live demo only.
For: any team with at least one person who can build. Designers, problem-thinkers, and writers round out the team. Team size: 1 to 5.
🎬 Storytelling Track
Create a short video that makes people feel a real Ummah problem and leaves them with hope that change is possible.
Your video has to do two things: make people feel a real Ummah problem deeply, and give them hope that change is possible.
For: creatives, storytellers, content creators. No coding needed. You just need to feel the problem deeply enough to make others feel it too. Tools: any video tool. AI tools like CapCut, Runway, Pika, Kling, and ElevenLabs are encouraged but not required. A phone camera and honest storytelling is enough. Team size: 1 to 5.
No team? No experience? No problem.
We'll help you form a team on the day. You don't need to know how to code. You don't need to arrive with an idea. You just need to show up ready to try something new.
