Join us for an inspiring morning with M. Cynthia Goh, Professor at the University of Toronto and NSERC Scholar-Entrepreneur in Residence.

As a researcher, entrepreneur, mentor, and innovation leader, Dr. Goh has spent her career exploring how academic discoveries can move beyond the laboratory to create meaningful real-world impact. Her work has led to successful research collaborations, commercialization initiatives, startup ventures, and opportunities for students and researchers to engage in entrepreneurship.

Whether you are a student entrepreneur, graduate student, postdoctoral fellow, researcher, or simply curious about innovation, this session will provide valuable insights into navigating the intersection of research, entrepreneurship, and commercialization.

11:00 AM – 2:00 PM: Individual Mentorship Sessions

One-on-One Mentorship Opportunities

Following the presentation, a limited number of 20-minute one-on-one mentoring sessions will be available with Dr. Goh.

These sessions are ideal for:

  • Student entrepreneurs

  • Researchers exploring commercialization opportunities

  • Graduate students interested in innovation and entrepreneurship

  • Early-stage founders

  • Individuals seeking guidance on research translation and impact

Appointments are limited and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis through a separate booking link.

Attendance at the presentation does not guarantee access to a mentorship session.

Participants are welcome to attend the presentation only, or both the presentation and a mentorship session if a booking is secured.

About Cynthia Goh

M. Cynthia Goh is a Professor at the University of Toronto and serves as NSERC's Scholar-Entrepreneur in Residence. Throughout her career, she has combined excellence in research with a passion for entrepreneurship, innovation, mentorship, and commercialization.

She has helped students, researchers, and founders explore pathways from discovery to impact, demonstrating how academic research can generate economic, social, environmental, and health benefits through innovation.
