Dominion 2026 - Pre Registration
DOMINION 2026 is a hybrid, mission-driven buildathon that brings together students, developers, innovators, and problem-solvers to build technology for challenges that matter.
Organized by Hackerrank Campus Crew and IEEE Computer Society Student Branch, SRMIST, in collaboration with the IEEE Student Branch, Carnegie Mellon University Africa, Dominion extends beyond campus boundaries to connect student communities across India and East Africa. The participating international communities include the Makerere University CS Student Branch Chapter, Mbarara University of Science and Technology Computer Society Student Branch, Dedan Kimathi Institute of Technology Computer Society Student Branch, Ndejje University Student Branch, Ernest Cook University Student Branch, and University of Rwanda Student Branch.
At Dominion, participants are challenged to move beyond building technology for technology's sake. They are invited to tackle some of the most consequential problems facing society and the world today — from Defence & National Security, Women Safety, Road & Transport Safety, and Anti-Narcotics & Drug Intelligence to Rehabilitation & Reintegration, Climate Resilience & Extreme Events, Wildlife Protection & Anti-Poaching, Critical Infrastructure & Blackout Resilience, Human Trafficking & Missing Persons, and Space & Satellite Resilience.
These problem statements demand more than conventional solutions. Participants are expected to combine artificial intelligence, machine learning, cybersecurity, IoT, blockchain, data science, computer vision, robotics, and emerging technologies to develop solutions that are practical, scalable, and capable of creating meaningful impact.
Dominion is built around a simple philosophy: technology should solve problems that matter.
It is an environment where participants can collaborate across disciplines and borders, receive technical mentorship, exchange ideas with international student communities, and transform concepts into working prototypes. The international collaboration also enables technical workshops, mentorship, project reviews, doubt-clearing sessions, and cross-community engagement throughout the buildathon.
DOMINION 2026 is not just about building a project. It is about building a response to the problems that shape our future.
