About Event

The RAiD Story: modern capability, built from within a rigid system with Gek Peng Tay (gp), founder of RAiD

What does it take to build modern digital capability inside one of the most structured, constrained environments there is?

In our first Now to Next session, we sit down with Gek Peng Tay to hear how RAiD came to be, how a new kind of internal capability took shape, and what it actually took to make it work inside a rigid system.

Most organisations know their structure and funding model are getting in the way. Few have found a way around it. This session tells the story of RAiD: why it was created, what problem it was responding to, and how it started building modern capability from inside defence.

This is a practical conversation, not a highlight reel — the tensions, the trade-offs, and what actually worked.

What we'll cover:
→ Why RAiD was created, and the problem it solved
→ How it built modern capability from inside defence
→ What you can take from this into your own organisation

Who it's for:
Enterprise and government technology and transformation leaders working inside systems built for control, not speed.
