​Welcome to the Lean Canvas Workshop

​where we’ll explore a structured approach to problem-solving and Idea Validation in product development. You’ll learn how to break down business ideas, identify key assumptions, and validate them effectively using the Lean Canvas framework.

​Through interactive exercises and discussions, you’ll gain hands-on experience in applying Lean Canvas to real-world challenges. By the end of the session, you’ll be equipped with practical tools to refine your ideas and drive better product decisions.

​Welcome & Introduction (15 min)

• ​Intro about the organisers

• ​Brief overview of the workshop's goals

• ​Why structured problem-solving is essential in product development

​Participants' Intros: Role & background and their experience with Lean Canvas (if any). What they expect from the workshop

​Breaking Down the Lean Canvas Framework (10 min)

• ​Why traditional business plans fail startups

• ​Introduction to Lean Canvas: Key sections and how they fit together

• ​Common challenges in completing a Lean Canvas

​Interactive Lean Canvas Exercise (60 -90 min)

• ​Participants work in teams

• ​Each team picks a business idea (or is assigned one)

• ​The facilitator walks through each section, prompting participants to fill in their Lean Canvas.

• ​Open discussions on assumptions, risks, and techniques.

• ​Teams refine their canvas based on feedback

• ​Comparing different approaches

• ​Identifying gaps and refining ideas

• ​Mistakes to avoid when using Lean Canvas
