​On behalf of Financial Sector Deepening Africa (FSD Africa), in collaboration with our strategic funding partners—the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) and the African Climate Foundation (ACF) and with the endorsement of UN ECA —we are honoured to invite you to participate in the High-Level Dialogue on “Advancing Debt Sustainability through Sustainable Finance: An Overdue Approach”.

​This session will spotlight sustainable finance as a strategic solution to Africa’s sovereign debt challenges while advancing the continent’s development goals. It will also provide a platform for government, investors, and development partners to explore practical approaches to aligning fiscal strategies with sustainability imperatives, building resilience, and mobilising both domestic and international capital

​This side event will convene senior leaders from financial institutions, regulators, investors, and development partners to:

​•    Illuminate sustainable finance as part of the solution to sovereign debt and fiscal constraints.

​•    Sensitize  policymakers and institutions to the technical support and capacity-building programmes available from UNECA and FSD Africa.

​•    Showcase peer learning on how African governments are integrating ESG and climate considerations into debt strategies.

​•    Highlight innovations in financial instruments that reduce cost of capital and improve debt sustainability.

​•    Provide a platform to announce institutional commitments and opportunities for follow-up engagement under regional forums and coalitions.
