EY & Black Apprentice Network - Build Skills - EY One (Online Assessment Practice Run)
WEBINAR HOST: Shaheen Khalifa, Senior Advisor, Early Careers Recruitment
DATE: Monday 23rd February 2026
TIME: 5pm – 6pm
This webinar is tailored for Year 12/S5 students who are keen to explore a career in finance. After sixth form, students may consider apprenticeships as an alternative to full-time university. With an apprenticeship at EY, students can earn while they learn, gaining practical experience directly with an employer, all while working towards an industry-recognised qualification with ICAEW or ACA (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales / Scotland).
Following the webinar, participants may wish to apply for Careers Starters, taking place on 8th and 9th April 2026. This two-day insight workshop available across Aberdeen, Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Luton, Manchester, Newcastle, Reading, and Southampton. EY will connect participants with senior managers and current apprentices, providing an opportunity to explore typical case studies that illustrate what it’s like to work at EY. Additionally, EY will facilitate group activities to help prepare participants for future assessments.
Those who successfully attend both days of the Careers Starters programme can be fast-tracked for consideration for the Accounting and Taxation apprenticeship in their chosen office location at EY for the following year (2027). This means students will have the first pick of available roles before they are officially posted.
Career Starters applications close at the end of February. Information about the Careers Starters and how to apply can be found here: Work Experience and Apprenticeships | EY - UK
