Join us for the 2nd Annual Nature is Capital Happy Hour, an invitation-only SF Climate Week convening.
Target audience: Institutional investors, family offices, foundations, and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) individuals actively deploying capital into nature-based solutions.
Hosted at a private residence within the Presidio—San Francisco’s iconic national park—this intimate gathering continues a conversation we began last year with Kat Taylor and Cat Burns (The Nature Conservancy) on what it means to invest in nature during an era of overlapping ecological and climate crises.
As biodiversity loss accelerates and climate impacts intensify, the question is no longer why to invest in nature—it’s how capital is being deployed in practice. This year’s session will explore real-world approaches across philanthropy, catalytic capital, and market-rate investments, grounded in actual decisions, structures, and investable opportunities available today.

The evening will feature stuzzichini—Italian aperitivo-style small bites—by Marin-based farm-to-table chef Andrew Sarda, including:

Caesar salad bites served in mini parmesan tuile cups
Crispy farfalle with sage brown butter, accompanied by a parmesan black pepper dip
Wines will be served from Alder Springs Vineyard in Mendocino County.
