Join us for the VITAL Annual Non-Dilutive Award Info Session. The VITAL Hub seeks proposals for the development of innovative therapeutics solutions in alignment with BARDA's mission to promote health security.
What to Expect:
Overview of the Annual Non-Dilutive Award: milestone-based, non-dilutive funding of up to $250K for 6-month projects covering the development, evaluation, and validation of innovative product development-focused therapeutics solutions aligned with BARDA's mission.
The topic areas we're seeking product development-focused solutions in:
Innovative approaches to targeted delivery of BARDA-relevant therapeutics to specific cells, tissues, or organs, including the mucosa and immune-privileged sites
Novel approaches to sustained and controlled delivery for injectable medical countermeasures
First-in-class, broad-spectrum antifungal drug candidates with novel mechanisms of action for the treatment of invasive fungal infections
Versatile, broad-spectrum therapeutics for the treatment of BARDA-relevant viral threats
Multiple antigen scaffolds to boost vaccine efficacy against BARDA-relevant viral threats
Program support: startups and projects will receive project management support and regular mentoring from subject matter experts over the 6-month award duration.

BARDA Accelerator Network (BAN)
Established by the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA), part of the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR) within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the BARDA Accelerator Network (BAN) fosters the growth of health security innovation ecosystems globally and accelerates the development and commercialization of next-generation health security solutions.
The BAN, comprised of 5 hubs, will serve as a global network supporting early-stage companies from around the world developing next-generation medical countermeasures (MCMs). The Hubs are focused on Diagnostics/Medical Devices, Therapeutics/Vaccines, Digital Health Tools, Special Populations, and Enabling Technologies.
Vaccine Innovation and Therapeutics Accelerator Launchpad (VITAL)
VITAL is a BARDA Accelerator Network (BAN) Hub supporting the development and acceleration of next-generation therapeutic and vaccine platforms and technologies to promote health security. It is led by Start2 Group in partnership with Advise Connect Inspire (ACI) and BioInnovation Labs (BioLabs). VITAL provides a global innovation network to enable impactful collaborations between the U.S. and other health security communities and their innovation ecosystems around the world.
