Entwicklung anders denken: Rethinking Development. 2nd session!
Register for session 2!
Our first session was a success, now in this second session we will explore how power relations shape what is recognised as knowledge, whose voices are heard, and whose perspectives are overlooked.
When decisions about territories and their natural environments are made, local communities are often only treated as the "affected ones" and not as holders of knowledge. But what can we learn when scientific, ancestral, everyday and artistic knowledge are brought together to the conversation?
Our guests this session are Zica Pires, educator, artist and quilombola community leader joining us online from Brazil, and Léon Gross, urban designer and artist-researcher based in Berlin. They will share their experiences of working with communities, territories and water.
Who can join? Students, professionals and people working on topics related to development and sustainability, as well as anyone interested in discussing these questions further.
