🎞️ Synopsis
Through oral histories, family letters, diaries, and archival footage, From Island to Island traces Taiwan's wartime history through the experiences of ordinary people. It follows Taiwanese soldiers and civilians living under Japanese colonial rule, including those whose lives extended across Southeast Asia during the Second World War. 

The film does not reconstruct a single narrative. It listens to what different people chose to keep, and what they chose to pass on.
