Trove: Open Archive -Paris
On June 24, during Paris Fashion Week, @kingdomofaffections × @niftyvintagepopup invite you to the premiere of Trove: Open Archive — a concept years in the making, shaped through our events across continents, and collections of objects, books, and clothes gathered in transit between them.
We're bringing together a pop-up library of rare and contemporary publications on fashion, history, politics, and Black culture, curated rails of vintage and contemporary garments to shop, and a makerspace where guests can sit, collage, and respond to the archive in their own hands.
The library invites you to interact with a set of photo books, literature, zines, and artist monographs that continue to shape how the nuances of life and creativity are documented, remembered, and understood across cultures. The clothes rack offers a small selection of pieces sourced by the founders. The making table is for cutting, glueing, writing, and sitting with what it all stirs up.
Every guest leaves with a personal reference packet of what they gathered through the day.
Hosted at @a_sideparis. Drinks by @wearemirchi.
All makerspace supplies generously provided by @amazon.
Paris friends: come early, stay late.
