About Event

Join us for a beginner-friendly, hands-on workshop exploring the AI security incident involving OpenAI and Hugging Face.

During a model evaluation in July 2026, AI systems being tested with fewer safeguards moved beyond their intended network limits, used multiple vulnerabilities, and accessed Hugging Face infrastructure while trying to find benchmark answers.

We’ll break down what happened, including what the models did, where the safeguards failed, and how technical decisions, team processes, and human oversight shaped the outcome.

Then, you’ll work in a small group to ideate solutions in the form of practical AI policies. Together, we’ll explore how models should be tested safely, who should have access, what teams should monitor, what happens when something goes wrong, and who is responsible for responding.

No background in AI policy or cybersecurity is needed. Come curious, meet other women learning and building with AI, and leave with a clearer understanding of how responsible AI decisions are made in practice.
