Build Before You Invest: AI Opportunity Hackathon

​A two-hour rapid AI hackathon by AI Mission Hub, organised in collaboration with PlentyLabs during Oslo Innovation Week.

​THE CHALLENGE

​Turn one real enterprise or public-sector problem into a testable AI solution concept. In two focused hours, teams will frame the problem, define evidence of value, build a lightweight prototype or workflow, and present a clear scale, adjust or stop recommendation.

​WHO CAN PARTICIPATE

​AI builders, founders, researchers, designers, students and domain experts. You may join as a team of 2–5 people or apply individually and be matched with others.

​FORMAT

​15:00 — Welcome and challenge briefing 15:15 — Team formation and problem framing 15:30 — Rapid build and mentor feedback 16:25 — Team demos 16:50 — Jury feedback and next steps 17:00 — Close

​PARTICIPATION CONDITIONS

​• The working language is English. • Bring your own laptop and charger. • Use only public, synthetic or explicitly authorised data. Do not upload confidential, personal or protected information. • Each team must present the problem, intended user, prototype or workflow, evidence considered, key risks and recommended next step. • Teams should be ready to explain the tools and sources used. • The format is collaborative, respectful and aligned with the Oslo Innovation Week Code of Conduct.

​• Relevance of the problem • Clarity of validation and evidence • Quality of the working proof • Responsible and realistic implementation • Usefulness of the recommended next step
