Inspired by Bessemer’s iconic “Anti-Portfolio,” this evening reframes the traditional success narrative. Instead of celebrating wins, the conversation centers on misinvestments and missed investments, i.e. the decisions that are less flashy, less positive, but deeply instructive. This is an off-the-record, live event for founders, operators, and investors who value candid discussion about judgment, risk, and pattern recognition under uncertainty.

Javier Villamizar is a Partner in Portfolio Management at SoftBank's Vision Fund, where he works with portfolio companies on growth, scaling, and international expansion. A Colombian-born engineer and former entrepreneur, Javier began his career building software startups before joining Motorola, where he led global business development initiatives and later became Managing Director of Motorola Ventures. He subsequently joined Brightstar, helping expand the company into more than 35 markets before its acquisition by SoftBank. His career spans entrepreneurship, venture investing, global operations, and advising high-growth technology companies through periods of significant scale.
Alexandra Wilkis Wilson is an entrepreneur and investor best known as Co-Founder of Gilt Groupe, the pioneering luxury e-commerce company, as well as Co-Founder of GLAMSQUAD and Fitz. She is currently Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Clerisy, a growth equity fund focused on consumer and tech-enabled consumer businesses, and has invested in or advised dozens of technology and consumer companies throughout her career. Alexandra brings a distinctive perspective as both a repeat founder and investor, with deep experience building, scaling, operating, and investing in consumer-facing businesses. She is also co-author of the New York Times bestseller By Invitation Only: How We Built Gilt and Changed the Way Millions Shop.
