One of the key figures behind MMI’s success is Dr. Giuseppe Prisco, Co-Founder and former CEO. With a Ph.D. in Robotics and Controls from Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna di Pisa, Dr. Prisco has played a crucial role in bringing robot-assisted microsurgery to the forefront. Before founding MMI, he spent a decade at Intuitive Surgical in California, where he led major development projects, including the da Vinci Single Site system for single-port surgery and the ISI flexible robotics program. His expertise in robotics extends over 15 years, during which he contributed to the development of revolutionary surgical systems such as the da Vinci Classic S and Si and the Ion robotic bronchoscopy platform. With over 100 patents in controls, robotics, endoscopy, and surgery, Dr. Prisco has been a driving force in shaping the future of minimally invasive and robotic-assisted procedures and we are honored to him to Genesis 2025.
