About Event

In today’s tech world, conversations about AI often swing between responsibility and potential. In this session, two talks explore this spectrum from different angles: one takes an anthropological view, asking what happens when we shift focus from responsibility to potential. The other offers an economic perspective, questioning why responsibility remains essential amid the drive for innovation and growth.

The talk from Mariam Ibrahim is about how Al is making humans less racist. Is it possible that Al - often accused of reinforcing bias - could actually help us confront it? In this talk, Mariam explores the social and ethical dimensions of Al from a new angle.

Preskal Tadrous demonstrates how regulation translates ethical principles into practice, thereby making ethical behavior measurable. Using the AI Act as an example, she explains how clear guidelines promote trust and how trust, in turn, forms the basis for sustainable innovation.

Entry is free, but registration is required.

Basic understanding of AI is an advantage and both talks will be held in English.

We look forward to an inspiring evening and with regard to this topic, we expect a respectful dialog.
