¡Palante, Siempre Pa'lante! — 30th Anniversary Screening & Q&A
As Hispanic Heritage Month draws to a close, we're proud to bring you a screening that connects this history to our neighborhood.
Sixth Street Community Center invites you to a FREE screening of ¡Palante, Siempre Pa'lante!, celebrating the film's 30th anniversary and the history of The Young Lords.
The Young Lords organized around the issues impacting Puerto Rican and Latino communities — healthcare, education, housing, poverty, and community control. Their story is one of resistance, organizing, cultural pride, and a generation refusing to accept that their communities deserved less.
That history is part of our Hispanic heritage, too.
