Budding Sprouts is a 40-minute preschool music class for children ages three to five, designed to meet this age group at a stage when they're capable of so much more than passive listening — they're ready to build vocabulary, count and sort, follow multi-step directions, take turns, and start to self-regulate within a group. Each class moves through a consistent arc — greeting and warm-up, rhythm and instrument work, active movement games, a quieter listening or counting activity, and a closing routine — with the specific songs and games adjusted week to week to layer in early numeracy, language, and gross motor skill-building. Because the structure flexes to the children in the room, it's a class that grows with your child rather than one they'll outgrow after a few sessions — and one where the music is the vehicle for real developmental progress, not the whole point.

Sprouts is our 40-minute all-ages class, welcoming children from age one through five into the same room — a format built intentionally for families with siblings spanning different stages, and for the developmental benefits that come from mixed-age learning. Younger children absorb language and movement patterns by watching older peers, while older children build early leadership, patience, and social-emotional skills by helping and modelling for the little ones. Each activity is built with multiple entry points — the same song or game can be simplified for a one-year-old or extended for a five-year-old — so every child is meeting real milestones (language, rhythm, coordination, group participation) at their own level, together, within the same session. It's a practical, developmentally grounded option for families who don't want to split their Friday morning between two separate classes.

Toddlerhood is a whirlwind of new sounds, textures, and discoveries — and music is one of the richest ways to explore it all. In Sproutlings, little ones shake, tap, and sway their way through sensory-rich play, discovering rhythm with their whole bodies. Simple call-and-response songs build early social sharing — passing instruments, waiting a turn, watching a friend. Every activity is playful on the surface and purposeful underneath, nurturing the language, movement, and connection skills toddlers are working hardest on right now. Come explore, sing, and grow together.
