decorate a go bag & build community resilience (dinner provided)
(Limited go bags available — first come, first served)
Community resilience doesn’t just happen — we build it together.
For this month’s ACT Night, we’re focusing on hands-on actions that help us be better prepared and better connected. Instead of sitting and listening, you’ll rotate through interactive stations where you can take real steps to support yourself and your neighbors.
What we’ll be doing:
🧰 Decorate & take home an emergency “go bag”
We’ll have a limited number of go bags available for folks to decorate and keep, led by Quinn from Basilica Bio. You’ll also get a practical packing list so you know what to put inside.
📣 Community defense & neighbor solidarity
Pick up whistle kits and learn how neighbors are organizing to look out for one another — including tools used in community-led efforts to protect people from harm and unjust enforcement.
🏘️ Learning from local organizers
We’ll be joined by Crystal Cultivate South Park, a neighborhood-based organization sharing how strong partnerships and local action help communities stay resilient over time.
Come eat dinner, take action, and leave feeling more prepared, more connected, and more grounded in collective care.
The plan:
6~6:45pm: eat plant-based dinner and yap
6:45-7:15pm: Q&A with our guest orgs
7:15-8:30pm: action stations!
8:30-9pm: continued mingling
Please try to arrive by 6:30pm so that you'll have time to grab dinner before the programming starts.
Request a reparative ticket here if needed.
