Climate & Nature Character Meetup
Calling All Climate & Nature Characters!🌍 Suit up, show up, and unite for the planet!
San Diego Climate Week is hosting a Climate & Nature Character Meetup through the heart of San Diego — and we want YOU to be part of it! Whether you're dressed as WALL-E, Captain Planet, Ms. Frizzle, Moana, Groot, Storm, Poison Ivy, Aang, or your own original Earth-inspired creation, come join us anytime as we take our love for the planet to the public.
PART 1: MEETUP & GROUP PHOTO (10AM-10:30AM)
We'll be meeting at the back steps. Behind Exhibit Hall A. See map below for reference, characters will unite for a meetup & group photo (Photo between 10:20AM - 10:30AM) before making our way through the embarcadero toward Seaport Village.
PART 2: CONTENT WALKABOUT (10:30AM - Noon)
After the meetup & photo join us in walking towards Seaport Village and on the way we'll create content by interviewing climate characters (aka you) and the public on important environmental issues. This is an opportunity for you to show your costume, share why we need to unite for the planet, etc.
PART 3: LOOK-ALIKE CONTESTS (Starts at Noon-1PM)
The fun continues with our Poison Ivy and Aang Look-Alike Contests at Ringer's Roller Rink! Anyone can participate and prizes are included!
THE DETAILS:
📍 Start: Convention Center Back Stairs (Behind Exhibit Hall A.)
🕤 Arrive: 10 AM | Picture time at 10:20AM-10:30AM
🛤️ Route: Back of Convention Center → Seaport Village
🏁 Final Stop: Ringer's Roller Rink, Seaport Village arrive around 11:30 AM, contests start at Noon.
