On September 19, WDA will honor Heather Cox Richardson, author of Letters From An American, with the Inaugural Gitlin-Auster Defender of Democracy Award, followed by a conversation between Professor Richardson and the esteemed writer Siri Hustvedt, a WDA founding member and the author of Ghost Stories: A Memoir.
