Ecological Restoration Day on Chaney Trail

​On National Public Lands Day, we are excited to invite you to this volunteer day of ecological restoration and connecting with community on Chaney Trail.

​Hosted by the US Forest Service and the Chaney Trail Corridor Project, we will work to restore habitat by removing invasive plants that have proliferated after the Eaton Fire.

​We will start the day with a check-in and brief training from experts on habitat restoration then break into smaller work teams, each with an experienced leader.

​Tools and gloves will be provided, but please also feel free to bring your own pruners and/or gloves if you have them. We will have a station to clean tools before and after use.

​Please wear long pants, long sleeves, and sturdy shoes. Please also bring a personal water bottle with water.

​We will serve you morning snacks and we will feed you lunch as well!

​If you cannot attend the entire event, no problem, just be sure to come at the beginning so as not to miss the training and group assignments.

​Map to 3650 Chaney Trail, Altadena, CA 91001 where you will be greeted before making the short walk up to the restoration site. Free parking is along the West side of Chaney Trail.
