MESSY CLUB | Communal painting
A guided communal painting session where we all paint on one big piece of paper together.
What you'll do:
We'll start drawing, doing a few exercises to help us loosen up and forget about whether we're 'good' at drawing. Then the fun part will start. We'll paint together. One massive, messy, colourful creation.
This isn't an art class, but you'll be guided throughout, so you'll never be left wondering what to do. No art experience or talent needed. If you can hold a pencil that's all you need.
What you'll get:
A morning off your phone
An experience that fills you up emotionally and mentally
A quieter mind and less tension in your shoulders (45 minutes of making art lowers cortisol, regardless of skill)
Meaningful conversation with lovely people
A chance to do something without pressure or expectation
Practice letting go of control and perfectionism
Nobody goes home with the whole finished artwork, but I'll bring scissors in case we want to cut bits off to take home.
It's for you if:
Your day job is stressful and you want a space where there are no expectations on you.
You normally say no to creative activities because you're 'not good at art'.
You don't feel there's enough fun and play in your adult life.
You work from home and would love a regular place to meet people and have proper conversations.
You rush from place to place and want a bit of time to be completely present.
Messy Club:
A monthly creative table that meets once a month to switch off, make something with your hands, and reconnect with the joy of doing something purely for the fun of it. Each edition, something different to try.
What's Your Messy Space about?
Bringing people together to switch off and remember how good it feels to create.
We're not here to learn a skill or make something perfect. We're here because we're fed up of optimizing every part of our lives, of being productive every second, of living at a million miles an hour.
We're here to create together like we did as kids, when we didn't worry how our scribbles looked 💕
