Data Scavenger Hunt

​Hi everyone! The University of Utah Data Science Club is hosting a fun and educational scavenger hunt on Monday, Sep 28 at the Merrill Engineering Building (MEB).

​Here’s what a typical hunt looks like:

• ​Check in at the main Data Discovery Hunt table outside MEB and scan a QR code to get your first clue or riddle.

• ​Each location has a QR code with a short puzzle or prompt related to Data Science or Computer Science.

• ​Solve the puzzles to unlock the next clue and continue through all stations.

• ​Once finished, return to the main desk to collect prizes and participation credit.

• ​If you get stuck, you can quit the program and still receive a participation prize.

• ​The program automatically tracks your start time, completion time, route, and puzzles solved to rank winners.

• ​It takes no more than 10 min and maybe even quicker depending on how fast you complete!

• ​📍 MEB roundabout (check in at the main table)

​🎁 Fun prizes like hats, mugs, t-shirts, and snacks! Top 3 finishers get extra prizes, and everyone who participates gets a completion prize.
