World Book Day X Reading Rhythms DC
It's World Book Day! & We're Returning to Metrobar!
April 23 is World Book Day—a UNESCO celebration of books, reading, and the authors who create the stories we love! This is the perfect day for book lovers everywhere to come together and celebrate our shared passion. We're encouraging as many chapters as possible to host reading parties on April 23, creating a global moment of connection through books. No matter your timezone, we'll all be reading together! Readers can bring whatever book makes their heart happy—the one they’re currently reading, their all-time favorite, or the book that they've been meaning to start—and join readers around the world for an evening of cozy reading, genuine connection, and pure book love.
Reading Rhythms is a series of welcoming reading parties designed to make it easy for people to gather and read socially. We invite you to bring any book you want and facilitate silent reading periods, as well as 1-on-1 breakouts, and group discussions to pull on the threads of the books that everyone is engaging with.
In a world that can often feel devoid of interest and meaningful connection, we bring readers together to reconnect with our love of learning, to experience the wonder of beautiful venues and curated music, and to gather amongst all of the people who want to be in that very same room.
Our favorite conversations happen in the Reading Rhythms mobile app. Join us there → https://readingrhythms.app _________________________________________________________________________________
