​Join Inephany and AWS for an evening of deep tech AI at Amazon's offices in the city - bringing together researchers, engineers and technical leaders working at the frontier of machine learning.

​This inaugural session explores a major shift underway:

​AI systems are no longer just generating outputs — they are increasingly being used to design, build, and optimise complex systems, from industrial processes to AI models themselves.

​At the same time, AI is rapidly entering an optimisation era.

​As frontier models scale toward unprecedented compute requirements, the industry is facing growing pressure across GPU supply chains, memory systems, infrastructure, and energy capacity. Optimisation and efficiency are no longer secondary concerns — they are increasingly becoming central to what is technically and economically possible.

​As a result, there is growing interest in AI systems capable of optimising dynamically and autonomously — from reinforcement learning systems that continuously improve behaviour through interaction, to active learning approaches that intelligently prioritise information, to emerging self-optimising AI systems capable of refining training, inference, experimentation, and infrastructure in real time.

​This session will explore these emerging themes through presentations, demos, and discussions from researchers and engineers working at the frontier of modern AI systems.

​Expect a highly technical audience, presentations, and demos from leading UK AI labs working in reinforcement learning, active learning, optimisation, observability, and large-scale AI infrastructure.
