Lunch & Learn: Design Sessions in Healthcare: How to Run Them and Why They Work
Healthcare's hardest problems rarely fail for lack of technology — they fail for lack of alignment. Design sessions, when done well, are one of the most powerful tools for getting clinicians, operators, and builders in the same room and walking out with shared direction.
In this lunch and learn, we'll cover both the why and the how — drawing on Google's Design Sprint methodology and IDEO's human-centered design principles, adapted for the realities of healthcare: complex stakeholders, regulatory constraints, and high-stakes decisions.
What you'll leave with:
A working understanding of how design sprints and human-centered design apply in healthcare settings
A practical framework for structuring your own design sessions — whether you're a founder, operator, or innovator inside a health system
Templates, facilitation tips, and the common failure modes to avoid
This session is part presentation, part working session. Come ready to think, not just listen.
Who should attend: Healthtech founders, health system innovators, product leaders, and anyone who has ever sat in a meeting where the real problem never got named.
Space is limited to maintain intimacy and depth.
🚗 Quick heads up: there is limited parking at the pier (daily rate).
Please use street parking or a nearby public lot.
📍Getting There:
AI House is located on Pier 70. Walk out onto the pier and continue past the first white staircase toward the AQUA restaurant. You’ll see a second white staircase—do not go up it. Instead, go through the clear AQUA doors, there is a stairwell directly to your right, head up to the 3rd floor.
RSVP required. This event is for tech product founders only to create a quality peer support experience. Thank you for understanding.
