​Global Dialogue on AI Governance (Geneva 2026): Virtual Side Event Organized by Tech Governance Project

​This session aims to broaden awareness and drive consensus on AI standardization and institutional transparency mechanisms, and on their role in ensuring effective, interoperable governance frameworks. It will explore current standardization practices and how stakeholders in the African region can build on existing frameworks to meaningfully contribute to evolving global AI governance architectures.

​Ultimately, the session will contribute to the core themes of standardization, transparency, and interoperability, aligning directly with the "Safe, secure and trustworthy AI" objective of the Global Dialogue on Artificial Intelligence Governance.
