UTAMU Student Developer Day

​This event is a mini hackathon-style Student Developer Day focused on web development, collaboration, and open source using Git and GitHub, and the UTAMU Innovation Club normally hosts it as the End of Semester Hackathon for students. It brings together learners from different levels to work in teams, choose a problem to solve, and build a small web application such as a task manager, portfolio site, or student system. Throughout the session, participants collaborate using Git and GitHub workflows, including branches, commits, and pull requests, experiencing a real hackathon environment from idea generation to a working prototype, and finally presenting their projects at the end of the event. The main goal is to equip students with practical, real-world software development and teamwork skills, helping them learn how developers collaborate to build and ship software.
