​​Welcome to the regulatory edition of the "Health/Bio Coffee Club" event series! This virtual workshop features Michael Yang, Senior Scientific Client Relations Manager (APAC) at Thermo Fisher Scientific.

​Michael Yang is currently the Senior Scientific Client Relations Manager (APAC), Strategic Development Consulting at Thermo Fisher Scientific. He holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Auckland and a PhD from the University of Sydney, School of Medicine, and brings extensive experience in customer discovery, business model execution, and translating value propositions into manufacturable solutions. His background spans contactless health monitoring, strong IP strategy with 10+ disclosures and two successful patent filings, and hands-on contribution to two US medical device programs. Michael has also supported over 10 US Pre-IND and IND submissions and designed 10+ Phase I–III protocols across infectious, oncology, autoimmune, pulmonary, and neurological disorders, enabling regulatory and commercial success for complex healthcare programs.

Jack is the author of the "Medical Regulatory Affairs Handbook," now in its 4th edition, widely regarded as a key reference in the field. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor and Lecturer at several prestigious institutions, including the Chinese University of Hong Kong, The University of Hong Kong, National University of Singapore, and Tohoku University in Japan. Currently, Jack is the CEO of RNAscence, a biotech start-up spun off from Nanyang Technological University and the National Skin Centre Singapore, focused on cutting-edge RNA-based innovations.

Christelle Tan GEMBA’24 is the Founder of MedMosaic, a HealthTech startup focused on improving patient access to clinical trials and regulatory governance in medicine. She combined her entrepreneurial spirit within her family, along with her 17-year corporate career in clinical research, medical governance, and regional operations at multinational companies, to develop various solutions that aspires to bridge the immense gaps in patient access to medicine.
