CVPR's Baklava Gambit: A Chess & AI Social by Nomadic AI

Nomadic AI is hosting an afternoon built around three things we love: chess, AI, and world-class baklava, featuring San Francisco's finest establishment, BaklavaStory.
We will have a 15-board simultaneous exhibition against our cofounder and CTO, IM Varun Krishnan (FIDE 2405). Yes, that means he will play 15 challengers at once! NM Aadit Bhatia (FIDE 2152) will also be around all afternoon analyzing games and answering questions. All are welcome, from beginner to expert!
Our CEO Mustafa can't win a chess game against a beginner bot on Chess.com, but he won't stop talking your ear out until all know baklava as the ultimate dessert and everyone is full. Akshay can school anyone in a game though he'll instead explain how machines went from losing to strong players to beating the best humans alive, and what we're building at Nomadic AI, the video understanding layer for Physical AI.
And the baklava, homemade, fresh, just the right sweetness. Probably more than is reasonable. 🍮 Free for all attendees!
Schedule:
4:00pm: Doors open, meet, greet & eat.
4:30pm: Welcome panel on Chess & AI by Nomadic AI CTO Varun Krishnan
5:00pm: Chess simul starts. Varun plays all 15 challengers at once!
6:00-7:00pm: Chess simul finish, the victor (or victors) are crowned. Social & network!
