BEDA Connect: Design Policy Mapping Results Discussion Round

​BEDA has just finished a landmark Design Policy Report that outlines the shift and latest tendencies in how design is embedded in national strategies across Europe.

​We invite all BEDA members to join our upcoming Discussion Round. This is a unique opportunity to gain firsthand insights into the results of the Design Policy Mapping Report and explore what they mean for the design sector, alongside the report’s authors.

​Each member is also encouraged to invite their national government representatives to the session. This will enable representatives to see how their countries are deploying design in comparison to others and highlight the potential value of design in driving innovation and growth.

​The study reveals a significant shift in the policy landscape: design is moving from being addressed through dedicated design policies to becoming an integral part of broader policy frameworks. The analysis prompted the development of the Design Policy Spectrum—a new evaluation tool that maps the degree of integration into national policymaking.
