Floating, but rooted.
Floating Cloister is a one-day gathering of fifty freelancers in Brooklyn — designers, writers, consultants, builders — who are doing something quietly rare. They're staying rooted while the ground keeps moving under them.
AI tools change weekly. Pricing benchmarks shift overnight. The pace of self-promotion grows louder. And in the middle of all that, some of us are still choosing depth over speed. Still building careers the slow way. Still trusting our own pace.
This gathering is for those people.

THE AFTERNOON
On June 25, four practitioners will spend an afternoon with us. Each going deep on one part of the freelance life that doesn't get talked about enough:
▪ Divya Pai — Prompt as Mirror Reading your own AI prompts as a self-portrait. What does the way you ask reveal about the way you think?
▪ Christiana S. Chae — Designing Your Own Pace Author of The Dangerous Book of Life on how to stop borrowing other people's tempo.
▪ Mini Nayak & Josiah Forgath — Like a Living Room Guest A Notion + AI workflow you'll install Monday morning. AI as a guest, not an intern.
▪ Yoomi Jeong — Open Circle Invitation What comes after today — the monthly room we're building together.
Then at 5:00 PM, we'll do something no other event will ask of you. We'll each write a letter — to ourselves, six months from now. POPOPO will hold those letters, sealed, and mail them on December 22.

WHO THIS IS FOR
You might be the kind of person who: – posts less than you produce – uses AI without feeling owned by it – has stopped explaining why you're not "scaling" – wants peers, not a coach or a course – chose the slow road on purpose
If that sounds like you, we built this room for you.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER
Floating Cloister isn't a one-time event. Starting July 30, we'll gather online on the last Wednesday of every month — same speakers returning, deeper conversation. Membership is free for the first year. We want the foundation to be people, not transactions.
Coming to June 25 is the most direct way to become part of what we're building.
