About Stonewall Inn:
The Stonewall Inn is a historic bar in New York City's Greenwich Village that was the site of the 1969 Stonewall Uprising, a pivotal event in the LGBTQ+ civil rights movement. Following a police raid on June 28, 1969, patrons fought back against harassment and brutality, sparking days of riots. This resistance became a symbol of defiance, galvanizing the gay liberation movement and leading to the first Pride parades, marking a turning point in the fight for LGBTQ+ equality.
