Silent Reading @ Imbue by Read in the Park
Winter means we’re taking Read in the Park indoors. 📚
For our first indoor silent reading gathering of the season, we’re heading to Imbue in San Francisco.
The format is the same simple idea we love outdoors: bring whatever you’re currently reading, spend some quiet time reading alongside other people, then stay for small-group conversations and a little time to hang out afterward.
No assigned book. No pressure to finish anything before you come.
📚 What to expect
Arrival + check-in
Come in, get settled, and find a comfortable place to read.
Silent reading
We’ll spend around an hour reading together. Bring a physical book, e-reader, audiobook, or whatever you’re currently into.
Small-group conversations
After reading, we’ll break into smaller groups for book conversations, recommendations, and getting to know the people around you.
Social time
We’ll leave some time at the end to hang out and continue conversations.
Someone from Imbue will also give a short welcome and share a little about what they’re building.
📚 About the space
Imbue is hosting us in their warm, flexible San Francisco space for this gathering.
A few things to know:
The space is shoes-off
It is dog-friendly
Please stay within the designated event areas
Offices and any areas behind closed doors are not part of the event space
Please help us leave the space as we found it

Yourself, even if you’re coming alone
A lot of people come to Read in the Park on their own, so don’t worry if you don’t know anyone yet.
📚 Registration + bringing a friend
One registration is for one person only. If you’re bringing a friend, please send them the event link so they can register for their own spot before coming.
Our events often have a waitlist, and we plan the number of hosts and conversation moderators based on registrations. Having an accurate headcount helps us make sure everyone gets the experience we planned for.
If the event is full, please don’t bring an unregistered guest.
And if your plans change, please update your RSVP so we can offer your spot to someone waiting to join.
📚 A note on photos
We may take a few photos and short clips for social. By attending you consent to being photographed but if you'd rather not be, just let us know when you arrive and we'll keep you out of frame.
