This in-person workshop is what comes next.
In this hands-on session, we'll move beyond AI app builders and into a real, production-ready Rails workflow — using Codex to do the heavy lifting without sacrificing good engineering. By the end, you'll have gone from an idea to a deployed application, not just a demo.
What we'll build:
A modern Ruby on Rails backend with a React frontend — designed with a real API, authentication flows, and a deployment pipeline you can actually use.
What we'll cover:
• Structuring a Rails app with a React frontend.
• Using Rails/ERB for marketing and authentication flows, React for the authenticated product UI.
• Designing an API with future mobile support in mind.
• Using Codex to plan, generate, review, debug, and ship real code.
• Deploying to a DigitalOcean Droplet with Kamal.
• Keeping AI-assisted development grounded in good engineering practices.
Who this is for:
Anyone who has hit the wall with no-code and AI builders and wants to understand what production development actually looks like. No gatekeeping. All experience levels welcome.
