Black Innovation Summit 2026

​Join us on October 28 for DMZ’s Black Innovation Summit Pitch Competition, hosted by Scotiabank.

​Returning for its sixth annual event, the Black Innovation Summit is Canada’s premier pitch competition for Black tech founders. Under the theme Black Means Business, the Summit celebrates the ambition, innovation and economic impact of Black entrepreneurs across Canada.

​At the heart of the Summit is a high-stakes pitch competition, where some of Canada’s most promising Black tech founders will take the stage to compete for over $150,000 in investments and grants. Finalists will also receive investor-readiness support, including expert pitch coaching and a minimum of $10,000 in legal support.

​This is more than a competition — it’s a national stage for bold ideas, entrepreneurial excellence and the future of Black-led innovation.
