Practical SQL for Data Analysis
Recently, I've been sharing SQL challenges on my WhatsApp channel, and the responses have been interesting.
However, I noticed something that got me thinking.
Some of the questions were basic, yet I received quite a number of incorrect answers.
And honestly, this is why I believe learning data analysis should go beyond watching tutorials and memorising syntax. You need to understand why you're using a particular function, when to use it, and what problem it helps you solve.
That's why I'm organizing another SQL class, and this time, we're going fully practical!
Rather than just learning SQL commands, we'll work with real-world business scenarios and use SQL to answer practical business questions.
We'll explore questions like: "Why do we use SELECT? When should we use GROUP BY? How do we filter data correctly? And how do we know which SQL concept to apply to a particular problem?
The session will be facilitated by Kamal Ibrahim, who will guide us through these practical exercises.
