Open Silicon, In Your Hands: IRIS Demo + Free Board · CrossBar at Devcon 8
Open software on secret hardware misses the point. At the CrossBar booth in the Devcon 8 Impact Space, open silicon is something you can hold, look inside and build on.
Please register for a pickup slot to guarantee a free limited devcon-edition Dabao board. Drop-bys are also welcome, but boards are limited and registered visitors get theirs first.
See inside the chip: IRIS, live
IRIS (Infra-Red In-Situ inspection) looks through the package of the Daric chip at its transistor pattern without opening it. That lets you check the silicon against its published RTL. Our IRIS rig sits on the booth table: a microscope with an infra-red camera, and a motorized stage that sweeps the light around the chip while the image builds up on screen. Hosted by CEO Mark Davis.
Pick up a free limited-edition Devcon 8 Dabao at the booth after inspecting the open-source chip on the Dabao yourself.

Build on it: the Dabao Hackathon
In addition to picking up the board, there is also the option to hack on it after Devcon and submit a project to the Dabao Hackathon. Find all event details on our dedicated Luma page: Dabao Hackathon.
"Show us something cool on it, and win prizes."
