Awen Wine Salon Vol. 4: The Soul of the Sea
Awen’s Wine Salon series isn’t meant to be a formal tasting or a room full of notes and scores. It’s a gathering and exploration: small groups around shared tables in a cozy setting, learning through conversation, curiosity, and the simple pleasure of opening bottles together. Each edition centers on a theme, but the real focus is the exchange: impressions, questions, conversations sparked.
This time, we’re turning toward wines shaped by the sea: not in a literal sense, but through climate, air, and balance. From vineyards along coastlines to regions that still carry the memory of ancient oceans in their soils, this edition explores how steady maritime influence changes the character of a wine. Slower ripening, cooler nights, constant wind - the result is often freshness without sharpness, structure without weight, and a sense of movement in the glass.
Edoardo Pedrotti joins us once again to lead the journey, offering context and insight while keeping the atmosphere relaxed and accessible. Alongside the wines, we’ll serve simple, thoughtful bites that complement the tasting.
As always, we’ll meet in Awen’s space above the city for an afternoon that unfolds naturally. Good company, open conversation, and wines that feel alive and balanced.
